Gujarat's Most Famous Fafda Chutney Recipe

Without chutney fafda dish is not complete here I come with Gujarati's special Fafda Chutney some time its called kadhi chutney. This chutney makes a great combination with khaman dhokla also.


Ingredients for Fafda Chutney Recipe

Water: 2 Cup

Gram flour (besan): 1/4 Cup

Curd: ¼ Cup

Green chilies (chopped): 2

Ginger (chopped): 2

Coriander Leaves (chopped): 2 Tablespoon

Mint Leaves (chopped): 2 Tablespoon

Sugar: 1 Tablespoon

Oil: 1 Tablespoon

Black Salt: ¼ Teaspoon

Mustard Seeds: ½ Teaspoon

Asafoetida: a Pinch

Salt as per Taste

Method for How to Make Fafda Chutney

Step 1: Grind Ginger, Green Chilies, Coriander Leaves, and Mint Leaves and put them aside.

Step 2: Take Gram flour, Curd, Water in bowl blend smoothly without any lumps.

Step 3: Now heat oil in pan, add Mustard Seeds, after crackling of Mustard Seeds add 
Aforesaid.

Step 4: Add mixture of bowl in it, add Black Salt, Sugar and salt.

Step 5: Keep stirring and cook until mixture will not stick at bottom of the pan.

Step 6: Add Grinding paste; mix well and off the gas after a minute.

Step 7: Serve it with fafda.

Kothmir Chutney Recipe | Gujarati's all time favourite Kothmir Chutney Recipe

Coriander leaves means kothmir.  Kothmir chutney is all time favourite and make great combination with khaman , dhokla, handvo, sev khamani. kothmir chutney is also used make sandwiches.

Ingredients for Kothmir Chutney

Coriander Leaves: 1 Cup

Ginger (chopped): ½ Inch

Green chill (chopped): 1

Lemon juice: 2 Teaspoon

Cumin powder: ½ Teaspoon

Black salt as per taste

Method for How to Make Kothmir Chutney

Step 1: Mix all ingredients nicely and grind it in mixture until it make thick and smooth paste.

Step 2: check the seasoning and add more salt or lemon juice if required.

Additional Tips 

Covered well and store it in cool place for long time.

Khati Mithi Khajur Ambodiya Chutney Recipe

Khajur Ambodiya Chutney Recipe

Ingredients for Khajur Ambodiya Chutney 

Khajur: 300 Grams

Amachur Powder: 300 Grams

Jaggery: 300 Grams

Red chill powder as per Taste

Oil: 1 Teaspoon

Dhana jeera powder as per Taste

Cumin seeds powder: 1 Teaspoon

Salt as per Taste

Method for How to Cook Khajur Ambodiya Chutney 

Step 1: Remove seeds from the khajur and deep in water for 1 minute only.

Step 2: Add amchur powder, jiggery, red chill powder and oil.

Step 3: Boil the mixture nicely for 5 to 7 minutes.

Step 4: Grind the mixture and make soft paste.

Step 5: Sieve it well and then after add cumin seeds powder and salt.

Step 6: Boil the paste again for 5 minutes.

Gujarati Kathiyawadi Special Spicy Lasun Chutney Recipe

Spicy Lasan chuney is also called Lasun chutney and Lasun means garlic, lasun is used in most of the recipes like vada pav, dabeli to add spicy taste in it. Sometimes you can it chutney with Plain Roti or Methi Paratha with Tea.




Ingredients for Lasun Chutney  

Garlic clove: 30

Red chilli powder: 4 Teaspoon

Cumin seeds: 1 ½ Teaspoon

Coriender Powder: 3 Teaspoon

Salt as per taste 

Method for How to Make Lasun Chutney 

Step 1: Mix well all ingredients garlic clove, cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt.

Step 2: Grind the mixture and make coarse paste.

Step 3: Now your smooth lasun chutney is ready to serve.

Fafda Chutney Recipe | Gujarati Delicious Farsan Fafda Chutney Recipe

Gujarati Fafda Chutney is most famous Farsan, in Gujarati Farsan means snakes, Fafda Chutney is sweet and salty combination with crunchy taste mostly served at Tea time in morning. Fafda made from Gram Flour and Chutney combination of Gram Flour with Curd, Green Chilies. All Gujarati enjoy Fafda Chutney with Jalebi mostly in Dashera festival.

Step 1: Grind Ginger, Green Chillies, Coriander Leaves, and Mint Leaves and put them aside.

Step 2: Take Gram flour, Curd, Water in bowl blend smoothly without any lumps.

Step 3: Now heat oil in pan, add Mustard Seeds, after crackling of Mustard Seeds add 
Asafoetida.

Step 4: Add mixture of bowl in it, add Black Salt, Sugar and salt.

Method How To Make Fafda:

Step 1: Take Gram flour, Baking Soda, Ajwain, Pepper, Asafoetida, and Salt in one bowl.

Step 2: Now Add water in the bowl and make soft dough of it.

Step 3: Now add oil in it to make it little sticky, knead it well for 3 to 4 minutes.

Step 4: Divide dough into equal size balls.

Step 5: Roll each ball in rolling pan and make long thin strips without any braking.

Step 6: Take a pan, fry all strips in pan until they get light brown on both the side.

Step 7: Now serve hot fafda with delicious chutney.
