Healthy Gujarati Bajra Thepla Recipe

Bajra Thepla Recipe


Ingredients for Bajra Thepla

Wheat flour: 70 Grams

Bajari flour: 270 Grams

Oil

Red chili powder: 2 Teaspoon

Turmeric Powder: ½ Teaspoon

Jaggery: 2 Tablespoon

Sesame seeds: 2 Tablespoon

Omum: 1½ Teaspoon

Curd: 1 Cup

Garlic Paste: 8 Cloves’

Pickle oil

Chilies paste: 4

Ginger as per Taste 

Asafodita as per Taste 

Salt as per Taste.

Method for How to Make Bajra Thepla Recipe

Step 1: Mix all ingredients well then after add 2 Tablespoon oil.

Step 2: Knead dough.

Step 3: Divide dough into small small portions as balls.

Step 4: Make thin roti from balls.

Step 5: Roast the rotis in oil.

Step 6: Serve with Achar or Tea.

Spinach (Palak): 1 Cup

Onions: 1

Wheat flour: 2 Cup

Ginger-chilli paste: 1 Teaspoon

Coriander leaves: 4 Tablespoon

Oil

Step 1: Boil chopped Spinach and make paste.

Step 2: Take little oil in pan, fry chopped oinios in pan.

Step 3: Add spinach paste, onions, ginger-chilli paste, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, salt, 
and 1 table spoon oil and wheat flour.

Step 4: Knead the dough from mixture.

Step 5: Divide the dough into small portions.

I think all you have tried Methi Thepla but today I come with some special and different taste of thepla recipe is Dudhi Thepla. In this recipe we use of bottleground in place of fenugreek leaves. Try this Dhudhi Thepla with tea I promise you will make it more and more times.



Ingredients for Dudhi Thepla Recipe

Bottleground (dhudhi): 500 Grams

Wheat flour: 50 Grams

Curd

Jiggery: ¼ Teaspoon

Turmeric powder:

Garlic: 50 Grams

Green chili: 50 Grams

Coriander leaves (chopped)

Salt as per Taste

Method How to Make Dudhi Thepla

Step 1: Mix all ingredients.

Step 2: Make dough from this mixture.

Step 3: Make round thick thepla and cook on tava.

Step 4: Serve hot with chutney or tea.

In the season of winter, all vegetables are available try some fresh and new Gujarati recipe called Methi Thepla. It made from Fenugreek leaves called methi and masala. You can try this with curd, tea, ghee, and lemon or mango pickle.



Ingredients for Methi Thepla Recipe

Wheat flour: 1 cup

Besan: 1 Cup

Fenugreek leaves (methi) (chopped): 1 cup

Oil: 4 Tablespoon

Water: 2 Tablespoon

Curd: 2 Tablespoon

Cumin Powder: 1 Teaspoon

Coriander powder: 1 Teaspoon

Red chili powder: 1 Teaspoon

Green chili-ginger paste: 1 Teaspoon

Turmeric: ½ Teaspoon

Salt as per taste

Method How to Make Methi Thepla  

Step 1: Take wheat flour, add Besan, Fenugreek leaves, little oil, Curd, Cumin Powder, Coriander powder,Red chili powder, Turmeric , salt as per taste and make a little tight dough,

Step 2: Keep dough 15-20 minutes aside covered.

Step 3: Make small balls from dough, roll them and make round chapatti type.

Step 4: Now take a frying pan, place thepla on it make it cook both the side.

Step 5: Now apply little oil and cook, flip it and apply oil on other side to cook.

Step 6: When thepla get brownish and cooked putout from pan. Make all thepla.

Step7: Serve Methi thepla with curd, tea, ghee, and lemon or mango pickle.

Additional Tips

If the dough is tougher then add 2-3 spoon of water.
