Soft and Crispy Gujarati Puri Recipe for Meal

Gujarati puri is like small round fry chapatti. Try this puri with with potato sabji during meal. Usually puri made during festive time or any special occasion like pooja, marriage, engagement, baby shower. 


Ingredients for Puri Recipe

Wheat flour: 2 Cup

Oil: 2 ½ Tablespoon

Salt as per taste 

Oil for fry

Method for How to Make Puri

Step 1: Take wheat flour, add 2 Tablespoon oil, salt and make stiff dough using water.

Step 2: Knead dough using ½ Teaspoon oil and keep aside for a minute.

Step 3: Make small balls from dough.

Step 4: Make small round puri from the balls.

Step 5: Heat the oil in a deep kadhai and deep-fry the puris a few at a time till they turn 

Step 6: golden brown in colour from both the sides.

Step 7: Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.

Typical Gujarati Masala Puri Recipe

Masala Puri is variation of simple puri its special type of chat recipe. Masala Puri is fully hygienic for heath because wheat flour only is used in that. It’s simple and easy to make recipe at home. Try this recipe with Tea or Mango Ras and Potato's Sabji.  



Ingredients for Masala Puri

Wheat flour: 1 Cup

Oil: 2 Teaspoon

Ajwain: ¼ Teaspoon

Asafetida: a Pinch

Red chili powder: ½ Teaspoon

Salt as per Taste

Method for How to Cook Masala Puri

Step 1: Mix all ingredients and make stiff dough. And put aside for a minute.

Step 2: Heat oil in pan.

Step 3: Make small balls from dough.

Step 4: Make small round shape puris.

Step 5: Fry all puri until it get golden brown.

Step 6: Serve hot with Tea.

Methi Puri Recipe | Crispy and Chat Pati Methi Puri Recipe for Snake

On Festivals here I come up with awesome snake called Methi Puri. Methi puri is made of wheat flour with Fenugreek Leaves (Methi) and in teste it’s so crispy and chat-pati. This appetizing fenugreek based snack is a wonderful and tasty treat for all Indian snack lovers.


Ingredients for Methi Puri Recipe 

Wheat Flour: 1 cup

Fresh Fenugreek Leaves, chopped: 1/3 cup

Semolina (Suji /Rava): 3 tablespoons

Sesame Seeds: 2 teaspoons

Red Chili Powder: 1/2 teaspoon

Turmeric Powder: 1/3 teaspoon

Oil: 3 tablespoons

Salt as per Taste

Method How to Make Methi Puri 

Step 1: First make dough, take wheat flour, add semolina, sesame seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, fresh fenugreek leaves, 3 tablespoons cooking oil and salt and mix them well.

Step 2: Make dough hard and keep it for 10-15 minutes. Make small balls of dough.

Step 3: Make a small puri from balls. Now take a knife and make pricks on its surface.

Step 4: Now heat oil, fry puris on low flame until it will becomes light brown.

Step 5: Serve hot with hot Tea.

Additional Tips to Cook Methi Puri Recipe 

For long time store it in air tight container.

Make a flame low while fry otherwise it will not become crispy.

Chole Bhature Recipe | Also known as Chole Puri , Punjabi Bhature

Chole Bhature is spicy Indian recipe. Chole is a chana with paste of curry and Bhature is a soft puri. Chole Bhature is north Indian’s favorite recipe. Also known as Chole Puri , Punjabi Bhature. Chole Bhature is easy to made and slight oil recipe. Many occasions chole Bhature used as breakfast. Chole Bhature with Gulab Jamun is a great combination.


Ingredients for Chole Bhature, Punjabi Bhature, Chole Puri Recipe

Kabuli chana (white chick peas): 1 cup

Maida flour: 1/2 cup

Potatoes (boiled grated): 1/2 cup   

Onion (finely chopped): 1

Onion (sliced): 1

Lemon: 4

Ginger (grated): ½ Piece

Garlic (grated): 2 cloves

Chole masala: 2 Tea spoon

Chilli powder: 2 Tea spoon

Mango powder: 2 Tea spoon   

Turmeric powder: 1/4 Tea spoon

Cumin seeds: 1/2 Tea spoon

Cumin seeds powder: 1 Tea spoon

Coriander powder: 1 Table spoon

Oil: 4 Table spoon

Salt as per taste

Method How to Make Chole Bhature, Punjabi Bhature, Chole Puri 

Step-1: Make Kabuli chana overnight soaked, cook in pressure cooker with 3 three whistle.

Step-2: Take a pan, heat oil, add cumin seeds. After that, add the onion, ginger and garlic. Mix them until it get golden brown.

Step-3: Add the chole masala, chilli powder, Mango powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin seed powder and salt. Cook for one minute.

Step-4: Add Boiled chana and a cup of water and mix all well. Cook for 10-15 minutes.

Step-5: Take Maida flour, add potato, little oil and salt. Make smooth dough without water.

Step-6: Cover with a wet muslin cloth and rest the dough for 10 minutes

Step-7: Make a round puri from dough. Fry them into oil until its both sides are golden brown.

Step-8: Serve hot with the chole, sliced onion and lemon wedges.

Additional Tips 

Fry the Bhature with low flame.

Chole masala is a blend of spices which is readily available at most grocery stores.
