On occasion of Ganesh Chaturathi , here I come with lord Ganesha’s favourite recipe Modak. Modak is a sweet recipe. Modak is dumpling stuffed with coconut and jiggery. Modak is easy to made recipe and not take too much time. So, on this Ganesh chaturthi try this Modak as parasad and make happy your Lord Ganesh.



Ingredients for Modak Recipe

Rice flour: 2 ½ Cups

Coconuts (finely grated): 2

Jaggery(grated): 4 Cups

Sesame seeds (Roasted): 1 Table spoon

Oil: 1 Table spoon

Salt: 1 Table spoon

Cardamom powder: 1 Tea spoon

Water: 3 Cups

Method How to make Modak Recipe

Step-1: Take a pan, Boil water, add salt on boiled water, after add rice flour mix them well to avoid lumps. Cook until mixture become thick makes a dough of it.

Step-2: Take another pan, make syrup with jiggery, cook it on low flame, test after some time like add a drop of syrup in water until it from a tighly.

Step-3: Add coconut and cook until it make thick.

Step-4: Add cardamom powder and  Sesame seeds until it become dry. After dry, off flame make mixture cool.

Step-5: Take small dough and make a small puri. Stuffed a small mixture in it and seal it by making small pleated ends and close the top by pinching the pleats carefully.

Step-6: Now heat oil and fry modak in low flame. Your modak, Ready for serve.
